Peachy keen

Photo by me (if I use Hipstamatic, does it make me look like a better photographer than I really am?)

This is the easiest peach cobbler recipe ever. Probably the easiest dessert recipe ever.

Here’s what you do: Grab a muffin tin and preheat the oven at 350. Place a few thinly sliced peaches at the bottom of each cup. In a bowl, mix one part self-rising flour, one part sugar, and one part milk (I used 1/4 cup of each for 4 medium sized muffins and a midget one). Pour the batter on top of the peaches, filling each cup about three-fourths full. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.

See, wasn’t that easy? Enjoy!

Julia

Turns out, all I needed was a little Julie & Julia to get me back in the kitchen. Eggplant parmesan is my new favorite thing. (It may not be French, but you work with what you have.)

What gets you back in the kitchen?

Chopped

Via A Cup of Jo and Sacramento Street

Caitlin of Sacramento Street posted this photo a few days ago, and I just can’t stop thinking about it! Besides the fact that her outfit is the perfect fall uniform, her hairstyle made me forget about growing out my hair.

After my brief fling with bangs last fall, and the total frustration of trying to grow them out this spring and summer, I thought I’d never want to cut my hair again. But it seems like every year, I get a sudden urge to chop it off. And that time has come, my friends — and much sooner in the growing-out process than it usually does.

But the thing is, at a certain length, I can go to bed with my hair wet and wake up with perfect curls 99% of the time. And I’m almost there. But I totally feel like embracing the messy right about now.

I blame this photo for clouding my judgement. Conveniently (or not, depending on how you look at it), I have a hair appointment scheduled next Saturday. So I’m leaving it up to you . . .

Cut or keep growing — what do you think?
