One thing I love about blogging is that while it may take you longer to blog about something, then do it, blogging about it makes you more likely to actually do it. I blogged about patterned sheets, then bought some. Blogged about wall art, then made some.
Now I’m working blog magic on my bookshelf. The battle is half over — I cleaned it out last weekend. So now I’m ready to fill it with some pretty books, knick knacks, and art.
What do you fill your shelves with?
P.S. Also totally love that sky blue chevron pillow against that red chair. And how awesome is that art next to the little library nook at the top?!

My bookcase is full of colorful file boxes for our important documents, my film cameras and lenses, books (of course), and magazine files!
I also love that pillow.
i love all kinds of random pieces on our giant bookshelves – rose petals in a dish, notes from friends, photos, magazines, flowers you name it! i do that too when i blog about something and theng et to creating it in the home. blogs are so inspiring like that.
I can’t wait to see how yours turn out! Mine are quite literally overflowing with books (the plight of the graduate student I guess) but I have one set of built-in shelves that I put a few other things on – picture frames, fake flowers, and decorative book ends.
My shelves are full of books upon books and the occasional picture frame. I periodically clean them out, but they seem to keep multiplying!
Love these photos! Ha, I love what you said about blogging magic – it’s so true! Not only that – blogging makes me actively think of new projects to do so I can blog about them, it’s a cycle that feeds itself. So great.
I love these photos! Bookshelves are my favorite piece of furniture-both my own, to decorate, and others, to admire. I love that you can fill them with such an eclectic mix of items, and that the books people read and display tell the world something about themselves. There’s just so much you can do with bookshelves and it’s so fun to see all the different ways people decorate them.
