I have some major cleaning and organizing to do, and I’m starting with my workspace. I love the desk du jour feature over at Design Darling, so I pulled some of my favorites for inspiration. While I would love to replace my ugly brown desk with a lovely white one, right now I’m focusing on little things I can do to improve the space.
My desk easily collects large amounts of clutter, and I love the idea of corralling loose pens and other small items in a tray or small dish while tucking away loose papers in a bright box. A patterned pillow would be extra cozy, while a touch of wallpaper adds some fun (I have a pull-out surface that would be perfect for that!).
What does your current and/or dream workspace look like?
Time to take a can of white spraypaint to that desk!
I’ve tried to clean my desk at work up a million times, but my hot dog notepad just can’t be put away! And neither can my Super Mario Bros. 1-up mushroom nightlight! Nor my nose-shaped pencil sharpener! Oh, yeah, and all of my zillions of pounds of paperwork.
I’ve thought about it, but the material is really cheap — not sure it would stick! Also, I really need a Super Mario Bros. nightlight.
My desk is a disaster all the time. I blame it on the constant rotation of articles and photos that come through each month. It does have gnomes and a giant pink feather though!
Fun! It’s so hard to keep on top of clutter. I’m so bad about letting papers pile up and not filing/throwing them away when I’m done with them.
