Mrs. Bachelor Girl mentioned her five minute face in a recent post, so of course, I have to share mine. Which is rather timely, considering I just found the last missing piece of the puzzle! (But don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll have a completely new one if you ask me again next month.)
- Tarte Smooth Operator. I mentioned this the other day, and it’s still just as perfect as it was then.
- Tarte Cheek Stain in True Love. This gives “a natural, lit-from-within tint that lasts all day.” Couldn’t have said it better myself, Ulta! I also use Tipsy a lot in the summer.
- Revlon Double Twist Mascara. Remember that time I thought I’d experiment with drugstore mascaras? Well, I gave up on that when I remembered how awesome this one was. Remind me of that next time I think of experimenting, ok?
- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. Best liquid liner ever. Bonus points for winging it!
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer in Sin. Double duty beauty at its finest. Makes your eyeshadow last all day, or doubles as eyeshadow in a pinch!
- Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Quince. This is the missing piece, people. I bought it this weekend and am ready to declare my undying love. (Not sure how much my undying love means when it comes to beauty products, but whatever.) I have been having the worst time lately with dry lips, and this has made them super soft and smooth again in no time flat. Plus it has just the right amount of color and shine!
What’s your five minute face?

Can’t wait to try the foundation, eyeshadow primer and lip gloss! A question about the cheek stain: Do you blend it with your fingers or use a brush or sponge?
I just use my fingers!
First off, love this little design! The lips are so cute. Second, I’m kind of weird about what I use because of the chemicals in so many of our care products, but Tarte has a clean bill of health and I’ve heard so many good things about them! Glad to hear you like them too.
Thanks! I’d love to hear what products you use — you should do a post on it! I know Tarte and Korres use natural ingredients, but I’m sure a lot of other products I use have some really questionable ingredients. I try to buy organic and natural when I can, but it’s definitely not cheap!
I second the cute lips. And why is that cheek stain sooooo cute? It reminds me of a Push Pop. I want to eat it!
I actually bought the UDPP after you recommended it so highly (the huge size, too!) and have yet to use it! I don’t know why I’m so scared.
They do actually function like push pops! I really just like them because it’s like fingerpainting your face.
And what are you waiting for?! Try it!!!
I love this product round-up! My five-minute face includes mostly Benefit products – love their stuff. I use their cheek tint, mascara, eye shadow & under-eye concealer. I am intrigued about Tarte, will have to check it out especially because of the natural ingredients!
I used to use Benefit but haven’t in a long time. Curious about those cream shadows though!
I bought the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer and the Korres Lip Butter Glaze (I ended up getting the Pomegranate color) last night, and I AM IN LOVE! Especially with the Korres. Even when the gloss is gone, the color remains! Love it.
I’m going to wait until my tube of Stila tinted moisturizer runs out to try the Tarte, but I have high hopes for it, too.
Yay! Glad you love the Korres. I’ve developed quite an addiction!
Tarte Cheek Stain has me curious! I love interesting products with interesting packing! woot.
I have an anemic makeup collection….now I want to run to Sephora!
I think packaging is half the fun of makeup. The Tarte is especially fun — like painting your face with a giant crayon!
