Fall is my favorite season, so this week, while I’m on vacation, I’ve asked some of my favorite bloggers to share the things they love about fall. Today Lauren from Seventeenth & Irving is sharing her fall faves!
TO WEAR // I love the idea of combining neutrals with a little metallic for an outfit that’s anything but basic.
TO EAT // Fall makes me crave warm comfort food and anything pumpkin. I think this pumpkin risotto with pine nuts and blue cheese seems like a winning combination.
TO DO // Since I live in a pretty season-less part of the country, I’m dreaming of flying to the East Coast to see the leaves change. Since that’s not likely, I’m going to make sure I go to Fleet Week this year and see the Blue Angels do tricks over the Golden Gate Bridge.
FALL MEMORY // Fall for me means one thing – football. I went to my first football game at six weeks old, was at a local high school game every Friday night, was a cheerleader once I was old enough. In college, I cheered on the Georgia Bulldogs, and still catch every game, though I’m stuck watching them on tv these days. I love the feeling of crispness in the air at a morning tailgate, the leaves crunching under your feet as you toss around a ball, and how friendly everyone is all in the name of school spirit.

Pumpkin risotto sounds amazing!
Yum, I’m on board for some pumpkin risotto!
Ah yes, football season—it’s back, full force. I’ve somehow managed to stay in the top 3 for my college pick’em league this year.
Thanks again for having me Lisa! I love this series – and it looks like we’re all craving warm, hearty comfort food. Bring on the bulky sweaters!
Um, yes. Those metallic shoes make the outfit. And I need them.
