When I was working in an office, I stuck mostly with dresses because they were easy, and I could make them work year round. This was especially true in the summer — there was absolutely NO way I was wearing pants, and dresses were the perfect light solution.
Now I’m working from home, and my casual wardrobe is rather lacking. I still love dresses for summer, but I’d feel a little silly wearing them day to day. (Truth be told, I spend more time in my PJs than I care to admit, but I’m working on it people!)
Since I don’t have an office dress code to abide by, I’m ready to embrace shorts for the summer, and your typical denim just isn’t cutting it anymore. I’d love to add some brights, patterns, and scallops to my closet. How about you?

If I was working from home, I’d probably shower only to throw on running shorts and a t-shirt…sad, yet true. I would say that’s pretty much my weekend (and evening) style. I like the idea of adding comfortable yet still more ‘put together’ shorts. Those high-waisted polka dotted ones are great!
I’m so anxious about shorts because of their length. I have to find the perfect rise and length and that’s often a task for me. I’ve never seen the scalloped shorts, but they’re cute! I really love the patterned ones.
Oh I really like the scalloped shorts! But I work from home too, so let’s be honest…I’m wearing leggings and a tshirt right now.
Those scalloped babies are calling my name.
I just adore all these shorts. I just wish they fit me better. Ugh.
The Gap Roll-up Boyfriend shorts are the best! Super comfy and cute and not too short.
Love that scallped pair! I hated shorts for a long time, but there are so many cute pairs these days, I’ve definitely come around!
LOVE the scalloped shorts! So cute!
