With the 4th of July coming up, I’d love to spend the day at the lake, with my feet in the water, eating a burger fresh off the grill and sipping on a strawberry vodka lime cooler. In navy blue sailboat shorts, of course. After a day of swimming, I’d watch fireworks on the deck, then roast marshmallows by the campfire. Though that may not be in the plan this year, I do hope there’s a pool and s’mores in my future. What are your plans for July 4th?

I love the lake so much, but this year we’ll be poolside at my sister-in-law’s. Not a bad trade off.

We’re going out to the ‘burbs for Ribdependence Day, an annual BBQ involving a lot of rib-eating, corn hole, and beer. Can’t wait.
I actually own shorts (and am wearing them right now) that look almost identical. I got mine from Lands’ End Canvas a couple of years ago. The Old Navy ones look great!

That first picture is lovely. And I love the idea of the lake. But then I think about the green stuff growing on the bottom of it. Algae, right? FREAKY.
