I have a confession. I’m a holiday slacker. I have all these grand ideas of preparing for the holidays earlier in the year, but does it ever happen? Of course not! So between taking care of all those little things I’ve put off until the last minute and trying to finish up a freelance project I’ve been working on before I go home for the holidays, I might be a little absent here.
In the meantime, if you’re in the Shreveport area, A Christmas Carol opens this week! The Guy from Mrs. Bachelor Girl will be playing Scrooge, and proceeds support the Shreveport Little Theatre and Marjorie Lyons Playhouse. Times and dates are:
- 16th, 17th, 18th @ 8:00 PM
- 19th @ 2:00 PM
- 23rd @ 8:00 PM
- 24th @ 2:00 PM
- 25th @ 4:00 PM
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens, students, and active military, and pay what you will on Christmas Day!

i’m a little of both. for example, i set up our family gift exchange a week before Thanksgiving, put up our stocking and teeny tree, and baked gingerbread people all by December 1. then i took three weeks off from holiday planning and i’m scurrying as always! haha!

i thought i was all good and super on top of things but the my hubby mentioned Christmas was a week form Saturday … WHAT?? so now i feel like a slacker/procrastinator scrambling around to finish wrapping, shipping and making gifts. thanks a lot hubby!
