If you follow me on Pinterest, you’re probably well aware of my style crush on Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls. I’m constantly inspired by the way she mixes classic pieces in a way that’s effortless yet never boring. And, if that weren’t enough, her gorgeous photos make me want to move to Rhode Island, stat! Here Sarah shares a little bit about her style:
What influences your personal style?
My style is a mix of vintage finds, wardrobe staples, and impulse buys (the polka dot heels that are hard to wear but are must haves). I like to keep my personal style classic. I love pleated skirts, ruffled blouses, and a good leather bag. Classic pieces can always be mixed differently to offer many great looks. The right accessories can do wonders.
What are your favorite sources for inspiration?
Old Life Magazines and vintage ads
Who is your current style crush?
Kate Bosworth always looks effortless.

Lisa, you’re killing it lately with all of these awesome features. Sarah Vickers is somewhat of an idol in the Northeast preppy blog world (as I’m sure you know), and it’s cool to hear more from her personally.
Yes, I can wear my lobster sweater every week as long as I switch between my scalloped white shorts and my polka-dotted shift dress on the bottom! No one will notice.
j/k, I love the lobster sweater, but I tried to imagine myself remixing it, and it was hilarious.
Great post. Congrats for being one of IFB’s winner of the week! Feel free to visit me at rockinrobinsrednest.blogspot.com

I just discovered Classy Girls Wear Pearls and I am in love, too! I have tried to get away from the preppy style that runs in my family/hometown, but seeing her style and how she mixes pieces such as j.crew with Anthropologie makes me believe preppy does not equal boring anymore!
