I met Kristina from Sucker for Sequins when I worked with her on designing her blog, and I can’t get enough of her style. One look at her blog, and you can easily see why — she loves color and pattern as much as I do, and has a particular love for sparkly things! I love the way she interprets the latest trends in such wearable ways. Here Kristina shares a little more about her style:
What influences your personal style?
My flare for sequins and signature pieces definitely comes from my background as a dancer. From a young age, I was exposed to beautiful, embellished, and flashy fabrics and dresses that flowed with full skirts. It never really got out of my system, and to this day I’m still a sucker for a skirt that twirls.
What are your favorite sources for inspiration?
I would say that my incessant online shopping and following my favorite brands probably plays the most influence on my inspiration. I am constantly surfing the web and checking in on my tried and true places to shop but also constantly exploring for new places. I’ll stumble across an item I love, whether it be as simple as a statement necklace or a dress, and immediately style it in my head with pieces I already own, and then it’s over — I have to buy it! I am also a TV ADDICT and there are a lot of characters whose style I love to follow, so if I see an amazing piece on one of my favorite actresses, whether it be on air or in the media, I will be determined to find it and create my own look around it!
Who is your current style crush?
If I had to choose one person’s wardrobe to steal it would be Olivia Palermo’s — she has been my style crush ever since she graced the small screen with her snootiness on “The City.” Her style is very similar to mine — classic like with a twist — and I don’t ever think I have seen her in anything that I wouldn’t want for myself. I will never forget when I saw her in an episode of “The City” when she went to Japan as brand ambassador for Tibi — she was wearing a bodysuit blouse with a pair of leather shorts, and I seriously stalked the collection until it became available and purchased it for myself. I often sometimes see images of her in outfits or pieces that are similar or the exact of something that I own. Maybe someday I will get to meet her!

Love the “shop her style” addition and especially loving that yellow polka dot blouse!
I LOVE those first two looks!
Okay, I’m laughing because I wore that sequin anchor top with hot pink jeans yesterday! Love this post.
I don’t think I look good in skinny jeans, but . . . WANT WANT WANT! I just can’t resist colored pants.
Love her style! And she has the J. Crew sequined anchor top! NEED!
